Trueindex ("Trueindex", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Trueindex prediction-market platform (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from you when you register, deposit, place bids, trade, withdraw, or otherwise interact with the Platform, how we use and protect that information, and the rights and choices you have.
We designed this policy to give bidders the strongest reasonable protections available to a non-custodial, on-chain settlement platform. By using the Platform you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Platform, comply with law, and prevent fraud. Categories include:
- Account data: email address, display name, hashed password, authentication tokens, and language preference.
- Wallet and transaction data: Polygon wallet addresses you connect or provide, on-chain deposit and withdrawal transaction hashes, token type (USDC / USDT), amounts, timestamps, and confirmation status.
- Trading activity: markets viewed, orders placed, outcomes selected, positions held, prices, and settlement results.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, session identifiers, and diagnostic logs.
- Communications: messages you send to support, dispute submissions, and integrity reports.
- Compliance data: geolocation signals used to enforce jurisdictional restrictions, sanctions screening results, and, where required by law, identity verification records supplied by you or a KYC provider.
We do not collect biometric identifiers, precise GPS location, or the contents of your wallet outside of what is required to complete a deposit or withdrawal you initiate.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information only for the following purposes:
- Creating and securing your account and authenticating you when you sign in.
- Executing deposits, trades, positions, and withdrawals you request.
- Displaying your balances, order history, and portfolio to you.
- Preventing fraud, market manipulation, self-dealing, wash trading, and abuse.
- Complying with tax, anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and sanctions obligations.
- Responding to your questions, disputes, and support requests.
- Improving the Platform through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
- Sending service and security notices (we do not send marketing without your opt-in).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar framework applies, we rely on: (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) compliance with a legal obligation, (c) our legitimate interests in operating a safe and fair prediction market, and (d) your consent for optional processing such as non-essential analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
4. On-Chain Data Notice
Deposits and withdrawals occur on the Polygon blockchain. Blockchain data — including your wallet address, transaction hashes, timestamps, and amounts — is public, permanent, and outside our control. Once a transaction is broadcast, we cannot amend, delete, or anonymise it. You are responsible for the privacy trade-offs of any wallet address you choose to associate with the Platform.
5. Sharing With Third Parties
We share personal information only with:
- Infrastructure providers that host the Platform, database, and authentication services under confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- Blockchain nodes and RPC providers strictly to broadcast your deposit and withdrawal transactions.
- Compliance and screening providers where required to satisfy sanctions, AML, or KYC obligations.
- Law enforcement, regulators, or courts when compelled by a valid legal order, and only to the extent required.
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
We never rent, sell, or trade personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
6. Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect your data, including transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, row-level security on user records, hashed credentials, and least-privilege service accounts. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your password, wallet keys, and recovery phrases confidential. If you believe your account or wallet has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and thereafter only as required to comply with tax, accounting, audit, dispute-resolution, sanctions, or other legal obligations. Trading and settlement records may be retained for up to ten (10) years. Diagnostic logs are typically retained for 90 days. Blockchain records cannot be deleted (see Section 4).
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion of information we are not required to retain, object to or restrict certain processing, port your data in a machine-readable format, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by law.
9. International Transfers
The Platform is operated from and processes data in multiple jurisdictions. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent lawful transfer mechanisms.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and secure the session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers for profiling.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on the Platform and take effect on the "Last updated" date shown above. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
